Pinterest just released its Fall 2025 trend report, which is packed with information about what users are searching for when it comes to food, art, fashion and beauty, and, of course, interior design.
This fall, the social media and photo sharing platform’s data shows that there’s a move toward thrifting, sustainable shopping, colorful tiles, bespoke offices and a throwback to the Art Deco era, especially among Gen Z (which accounts for 50 percent of Pinterest’s users). In other words, these are trends that are less about following the crowd and more about finding unique pieces with stories.

Pinterest reports that searches for “Art Deco vintage” are up 805 percent, specifically searches for “Art Deco interior 1920s vintage,” which are up 745 percent. Art Deco design is glamorous, elegant and colorful—think geometric lines, arches, brass, gold, jewel tones, black outlines, terrazzo floors, crown moulding, fluting, tray ceilings, metal inlays, mirrors and lots of drama—no minimalist gray or beige here. Art Deco pieces also focus on craftsmanship (there’s a reason they survive for as long as they do!), which dovetails nicely with the aforementioned focus on sustainable shopping.

Don’t get us wrong, white subway tile is a classic for a reason—but we also love colorful statement tile because it can completely transform a space. Pinterest users are using search terms like “unique tiles” (up 450 percent), “terracotta tiles texture” (up 833 percent), and vintage tiles (up a whopping 1,107 percent). Specifically, blue ceramic tiles, Mexican tiles and copper tiles for the bathroom have all surged dramatically in users’ searches. As with the Art Deco movement, unique tiling is a way to embrace individuality and color and embrace sustainability and imperfection.

Pinterest users are also focusing on their offices right now, with the platform reporting that searches for “chic cubicle decor” have increased 1,543 percent and searches for “work office makeover” have climbed by 2,652 percent. Searchers are looking for everything from “luxe office” inspiration to green (as in eco-friendly) designs (up 2,766 percent and 1,065 percent, respectively). Specifically, users are looking for desk accessories, unique art, storage, soft lighting (to combat bright fluorescent bulbs) and natural textures—and, of course, it can all translate into a bespoke home office, too. As ELLE Decor posits, “This speaks to larger cultural changes around work-life integration and the rejection of corporate sterility. If you’re spending eight hours a day somewhere, the thinking goes, it should reflect your personality and support your well-being.”
